Fashion Icon: Mandy Moore

When Mandy Moore first came onto the music scene, she was just another blonde, bubblegum pop tart trying to keep up with frontrunner Britney Spears. But, the determined sweetheart eventually surprised fans and critics with a lasting career in film rather than music. After releasing radio-friendly hits like “Candy,” Moore switched her focus to acting, proving she could carry a film as a brunette pastor’s daughter in the tear-jerker, A Walk to Remember. And her busy love life with Zach Braff, Wilmer Valderrama, and tennis pro Andy Roddick has kept the media buzzing as she starred alongside Diane Keaton in Because I Said So and John Krasinski in License to Wed. Mandy Moore is the face of the new site uPumpItUp.com where women can share their empowerment stories and tips.

Fashion Icon: InStyle Visits Eva Longoria Parker’s Amazing Closet
-

Women and shoes. The obsession is indisputable. No matter your style, budget, or background, there’s a trans-continental fixation between women and shoes. Alas, the same could be said about women and handbags. If you’re feeling a little guilty with regards to your over-abundant shoe and handbag collection, InStyle magazine’s latest article on Eva Longoria Parker’s sensational closet is the perfect antidote.
Eva Longoria Parker’s Los Angeles home boasts a 133-square-foot master closet. Her husband, Tony Parker, San Antonio Spurs point-guard, spends the bulk of his time in their Texas place, which allows Eva an eviable closet in their West Coast home. Although Eva’s closet is chock-full of designer names, such as Armani, Chanel, De La Renta, Herrera, Kors, Lacroix, Louboutin, and Vuitton, to name a few, Parker still stresses that she has “always dressed for comfort”. Here’s a sneak peak of the Desperate Housewives closet. Pick up the March 2008 copy of In Style magazine to read the full article.

Fashion Icon: Katie Holmes

The low-key girl, who couldn’t pronounce Badgley Mischka on the red carpet in 1998, undergoes a style transformation. Often photographed shopping and in the front row of fashion shows, Holmes poses for the cover of Harper’s Bazaar. Close friend and fashion maverick Victoria “Posh” Beckham styles her for the photo shoot.
After chopping her hair and appearing more fashionable than ever, Holmes is featured in a PEOPLE cover story. It follows her transformation from all-American girl to couture-clad mommy with 1-year-old Suri. The 28-year-old star “has a serenity about her,” says Callie Khouri, her director on the upcoming bank heist comedy Mad Money (due in early 2008). “I just think she’s in a really happy place. She’s obviously in love – with Tom and with her child.”
